The new year is in full swing in EDC. This month we discovering building and learning about snowmen! Books we are reading this month: Songs:
One Little Snowman (snowmen cut outs take turns skating around a paper with a hole that the snowman falls into) One little snowman skating on a lake, he saw a hole...SPLASH! Too late! (each child takes a turn) Dancing Snowflakes (dancing with scarfs) Dancing Snowflakes, dancing snowflakes in the air, in the air, whirling twirling snowflakes, whirling twirling snowflakes everywhere, everywhere The Mitten Song (a pretend snowball is hidden under one of six colored mittens) Snowball, snowball cold and round under which mitten can it be found? I'm a Little Snowman I'm a little snowman short and fat here is my scarf and here is my hat when the sun comes out; I cannot play down, down, down I melt away Centers this month: Play dough (with parts to make a snowman!)
